Does better sim racing gear actually make me faster?

Yes—primarily by dramatically increasing your consistency.

High-quality components—such as load-cell or hydraulic pedals, direct-drive wheelbases, and high-refresh display arrays—remove the technical guesswork common in entry-level setups. Moving to precision hardware gives you the tactile fidelity, rigidity, and visual clarity needed to build true muscle memory.

Better equipment isn't just about one quick lap; it gives you the confidence to hit your braking markers repeatedly, control trail-braking, and drive on the limit stint after stint without fighting your hardware.
